Livewire Mashariki Studio Limited (“Livewire Mashariki”, “we”) is a production studio registered in Kenya, at 53 Chalbi Drive, Nairobi 00100, Kenya. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website.

What we collect

Information you give us. If you contact us by email, phone or WhatsApp, we receive whatever you choose to send - typically your name, contact details and a description of your project.

Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and reliability. If you accept analytics cookies, we also receive aggregate statistics about how the site is used.

We do not collect payment details through this site, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Why we use it

• To respond to your enquiry and provide a quote or proposal
• To keep the site secure and diagnose faults
• With your consent, to understand which work people find useful so we can improve the site

Under the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019, our lawful bases are your consent (analytics), our legitimate interest (site security), and taking steps at your request before entering a contract (responding to enquiries).

Photography and film

This site shows photography and film produced by Livewire Mashariki for clients. Where an image shows identifiable people, it is published on the basis of the release or accreditation obtained at the time of the shoot. If you appear in an image and want it removed, email us and we will act on it promptly.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the site and our email, and where we are required to by law.

Keeping it

Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with them and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records. Server logs are kept for a short period by our hosting provider.

Your rights

Under the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019 you may ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent. Contact info@livewiremashariki.africa and we will respond. You may also complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner, Kenya.
